This chapter first opened on May 1st, 2024.

Then came a season of carrying too much. Of giving energy where it didn’t belong.

Of learning — slowly — the cost of staying where one must eventually leave.

Then, I found my way back.

I had not planned to become a part-time Florentine in my 50s. But that is how the best chapters tend to begin — a grown daughter studying in Florence, an unexpected invitation to be her roommate, and a quiet voice that had been waiting long enough.

Here, I share my everyday life during these solo seasons: the cafés, the walks, the work, the pauses — and the honest process of building something new in midlife, from the inside out.

This space is for women who feel that quiet pull — toward freedom, breathing room, and a life that feels more their own.
